Dental Marketing: Strategies for Success Essential Dental Equipment and Tools for Your Practice

Acne is a very common skin condition characterized by red, swollen skin lesions that mostly appear on your forehead, nose, chin, back and/or chest. This skin condition can be classified as mild, moderate and severe acne and there are different treatment options for each. For those that have oily skin prone to acne, it’s important to know that a surplus of sebum is what activates the acne cycle.

Sebum is the natural oil our skin secretes to lubricate and keep our skin healthy. Hormonal changes, for example those we undergo during puberty, and stress are the main reasons why we sometimes secrete too much of this oil. When we experience a surplus of sebum, it doesn’t mean that our skin becomes healthier or that it’s better lubricated. This is actually the initiation cycle and one of the root causes of acne breakouts.

How does Acne Happen?

Excess sebum and dead skin cells found on the surface of our skin can mix and clog within pores or hair follicles. This alone doesn’t cause acne but when it clogs within pores it traps p. acne bacteria inside. The trapped bacteria in hand suffer a chemical transformation which results in irritation and inflammation: a pimple.

Know that you’ve learned how acne comes about, you probably figure that preventing excess sebum is a pretty sweet and easy way to never have acne in the first place. But don’t jump into conclusions because you need a bit more info before you start dealing with acne on your own. Let’s just say there is a reason why researchers haven’t found a cure for acne just yet.

Best Way to Control Acne Naturally

The best way to prevent acne is to implement a skin care routine. This not only helps to clear or help acne, but it also helps to keep your skin healthy and beautiful.

Step 1

Find an oil free cleanser and wash your face not more than twice a day (morning and night) to get rid of excess oil, dirt and dead skin cells. Washing it more than twice a day can dry out the skin and the body’s response to that is to secrete even more skin oil.

Step 2

Moisturize with a cream that contains natural skin care ingredients, the main ingredient being snail serum from Helix Aspersa Muller. This ingredient will not only protect your skin from daily hazards, but it will also help to unclog pores, control sebum output and regenerate the skin to prevent acne scars. Keep in mind that you need to use a product that’s suited for your skin type. There are many products out there for both combination and oily skin.

Step 3

Exfoliate at least once a week. This will help to eliminate dead skin cells to prevent clogging. This will also make your skin look bright and keeps it youthful looking for much longer. Exfoliating will also help to get rid of any imperfections you might have due to acne breakouts: acne scars and uneven skin tone.
